KUCHING: The Persatuan Anak Seni Sarawak (Anak Seni) together with the Laila Taib Welfare Complex (PERYATIM) and local enthusiasts have teamed up to clean the complex’s hall, surau and surrounding areas.
This programme was held on yesterday (Jan 28) to further strengthen the relationship between the residents and the administration of PERYATIM as well as the Anak Seni.
Also present were FINAS Sarawak principal assistant director Maffizan Saupie and PERYATIM manager Nuri Hadi Latip.
Nur Hadi said that PERYATIM was grateful because there were members of Anak Seni who wanted to collaborate together with them and looked forward to collaborating with the association in the future.
Meanwhile, president of Anak Seni, Mohammad Ghazali Jeman also said more programmes would be held, among others are the ‘Sedekah AisKRim’ programme, ‘Jejak Sahur’ programme, and ‘Sedekah Bubur Lambok’ programme for the upcoming month of Ramadan.
Maffizan also said FINAS Sarawak looked to collaborate with Anak Seni and PERYATIM to hold more programmes.
At the programme, there was also a screening of a short film called Singa Kotak directed and scripted by Abdul Razak Abdullah under Kamek Empun Production Sdn Bhd.
One of the actors is a resident of the PERYATIM, Muhammad Arfat Muhammad Faizal.
