Covid-19 booster dose available at Wisma Persekutuan

MIRI: People aged 18 and above who have received the booster dose against Covid-19 have been urged to get their second booster dose at Wisma Persekutuan along Jalan Kipas on Monday (Jan 30).

The Divisional Health Office in a statement also encouraged those aged 50 and above who received their first booster dose six months earlier to also get their second shot.

In addition, pregnant or breastfeeding mothers who received the first booster dose six months earlier have also been advised to turn up between 8.30am and 1pm.

As for those who are 12 and above who have completed the primary vaccination, they are advised to come and take the booster dose.

Public health physician, Dr Noor Izni Mohamad Shapie said they can also go directly to selected Vaccination Centres.

He said almost 20 including Miri Hospital and Marudi Hospital as well as three Private Vaccination Centres (PPV) here provide the service.

“We advise the public to take their second booster dose to reduce the risk of Covid-19 and to reduce severe symptoms due to Covid-19 infection,” he said.

They can contact the nearest PPV to get a free Covid-19 booster dose appointment.
