KAPIT: Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg chaired the State Development Coordination Committee meeting at the State Government Complex here, today (Feb 1).
The agenda of the meeting, among others, touched on the performance of project implementation, especially in Kapit.
The Upper Rajang Development Agency (URDA), Ministry of Infrastructure and Port Development and the Ministry of Public Health, Housing and Local Government briefed Abang Johari.
The Sarawak Public Communication Unit (UKAS) reported that the Premier also handed over certificates of appointment to new community leaders in Kapit.
Present were Deputy Premiers Datuk Amar Douglas Uggah Embas and Datuk Seri Dr Sim Kui Hian, Minister of Works Datuk Seri Alexander Nanta Linggi, Minister of Food Industry, Commodity and Regional Development Datuk Seri Dr Stephen Rundi Utom, Minister of Women, Early Childhood and Community Wellbeing Development Datuk Seri Fatimah Abdullah, Minister in the Premier’s Department Datuk John Sikie Tayai, Minister of Utility and Telecommunication Datuk Julaihi Narawi and State Secretary Datuk Amar Abu Bakar Marzuki.
Also present were Deputy Minister of Utility and Telecommunication Datuk Liwan Lagang, Deputy Minister in the Premier’s Department (Labour, Immigration and Project Monitoring) Datuk Gerawat Gala, Hulu Rajang MP Wilson Ugak Kumbong, Deputy State Secretary (Administration) Datuk Buckland Bangik, Deputy State Secretary (Operations) Datuk Hii Chang Kee and Kapit Resident Galong Luang.
