BINTULU: Three houses of worship in the Murum state constituency have received cheques totalling RM380,000 from Unit for Other Religions (Unifor).
The houses of worship are St Ambrose Uma Lahanan Church, St Mathew Uma Nyaving Sungai Asap Church and St John Uma Balui Liko Sungai Asap Church, getting RM250,000, RM50,000 and RM80,000 respectively.
The handover of the cheques was done by Murum assemblyman Kennedy Chukpai Ugon on Monday (Feb 13).
Chukpai expressed his thanks to the Sarawak government, especially in giving grants to religious bodies through Unifor.
