SIBU: A man was on Tuesday (Feb 14) indicted in the Magistrates’ Court here on five counts of committing criminal breach of trust.
All the charges were read and explained to Folster, 30, who understood but pleaded not guilty.
In the first charge, Folster from Kemuyang Timur was alleged to have committed criminal breach of trust by dishonestly misappropriating RM677.65 belonging to one Jackson Barayan Ujang at Institut Memandu Ngu Chung Beng & Sons on March 7, 2021.
The second charge against him stated that he had committed criminal breach of trust by dishonestly misappropriating RM677.65 belonging to one Dian Daud at the same venue on April 7, 2021.
He faced the third charge of committing criminal breach of trust amounting to RM677.65 belonging to one Aging Anggi at the same place on March 7, 2021.
The fourth charge against him stated that he committed a similar offence by dishonestly misappropriating RM1,225 belonging to one Adib Aiman Abiclin at the same place on Feb 6, 2023.
Folster was also accused of misappropriating RM3,500 belonging to one Mana Annua Andrew at Harmoni Teku Coffeeshop in September 2021.
All the charges were framed under Section 406 of the Penal Code, which carries an imprisonment term which may extend to three years or fine or both if convicted.
Magistrate Oon Kork Chern ordered the accused to be released on a RM1,500 bail with one local surety for each charge and the accused to report to the nearest police station on every 14th of each month pending disposal of the case.
He fixed the pre-trial case management to April 13 at 9am.
