KUCHING: Experienced attacking midfielder Joseph Kalang Tie is determined to play his part in helping Kuching City FC excel in the upcoming 2023 Malaysia Super League campaign.
Commenting on finishing in the top five of the Super League, a target set by the board of Kuching City FC, he said that he will do his best and give all his energy when given the opportunity to play.
“This is our first season in the Super League, so my teammate and I will definitely give our best to ensure our team can be successful.
“I know people may look at us as a team far from challenging for a spot in next season’s continental competition but we can always dream because nothing is impossible,” Tie said.
Tie added that he is aware of the tall task to finish in the top five this season that is awaiting of him and his teammates.
“I know it is not easy when taking into account of the strengths of other teams around the league.
“We just have to keep our heads in the game, focus and work hard in training and during matchday, and see where it takes us by the end of the season,” he said.
Tie, a former national squad player in his own right, revealed that there is no tips and tricks to be playing until now.
“There is no secret remedy to it but just remain healthy, keep myself in shape by taking care of my food intake, sleep well, say my prayers daily and be grateful to God for being able to play until now.
“I cannot tell you how long I will be in active in this profession because it all depends on the fate destined by God so all I can do now is remain healthy and work hard,” Tie added..
