Unifor hands assistance to four Catholic schools

MIRI: Four Catholic schools here received RM472,440 in financial assistance from the Sarawak government through the Unit for Other Religions (Unifor) under last year’s allocations.

The cheques were presented by state Minister of Transport Datuk Sri Lee Kim Shin to Bishop Richard Ng on today.

The schools are Sekolah Kebangsaan (SK) Good Shepherd Marudi Baram which received RM 168,110; SK St Joseph ( RM50,000); SK St Pius Long San (RM68,110) and Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan (SMK) St Joseph (RM186,220).

Two schools in Limbang – SK St Edmund and SK RC Kubong also received assistance of RM100,000 each.

Another recipient was SK St Anthony (M) Bintulu (RM154,3330).
