KUCHING: The Kuching Indoor Stadium in Sarawak was filled with cheers and excitement as three silat exponents from Sarawak continued their winning streak on the second day of the Sarawak Premier International Silat Championship (SPISC).

 

Top performers Josh Chua, Shahamierul Shelby Mohamad Maiden, and Suhaiqal Suhardie showcased their skills and overcame their opponents in their respective categories, securing their spots semi-finals.

 

The Sarawak contingent had the advantage of competing in front of their home crowd, which played a significant role in boosting their morale.

 

Josh Chua who is competing in the Putra C Junior category made an inspiring start for his team by cruising past his opponent from Pahang, Mohamad Mirza Danish Abdullah, with an impressive score of 72-18.

 

The winning momentum continued as Shahamierul Shelby emerged victorious in Tunggal Putra category, scoring 9.9 points against his opponent from Angkatan Tentera Malaysia (ATM) Mohd Hearri Chieng Mohd Fridaus.

Meanwhile, in the Tunggal Baku Putra category, Suhaiqal Suhardie managed to outclass Dapa Riki Ananda from Indonesia by a scoreline of 9.885 points to 9.850 points.

 

With their exceptional performances, the Sarawak silat contingent has demonstrated their commitment to the sport and their determination to achieve ultimate glory in the championship.
