BETONG: A tragic accident occurred near Kampung Jelukong, Jalan Engkelili, yesterday morning, resulting in the death of the driver, Ibrahim Seman.
The incident, which took place at approximately 5:30 a.m., involved the vehicle skidding and colliding with a road divider.
Emergency services, including the Fire and Rescue Department, were called to the scene, but the 55-year-old victim was pronounced dead on-site.
A spokesman from the Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) said firemen from Betong station were deployed to the scene, about 35km from the station.
Following the incident, the body was transported to Betong Hospital for further examination. The situation was deemed safe by the rescue team at around 7:45 a.m.
