MIRI: A total of 140 fire personnel from five fire stations under the Fire Department Miri and Zone 6 Malaysia Rescue team participated in a fire station selection process that began on February 15.
After rigorous testing, 56 participants were chosen as finalists for the marching competition, according to Miri Mayor Adam Yii Siew Sang, who spoke at the closing ceremony of the Tactical Firefighters Marching Expert Test and the Miri Municipal Council’s Community Basic Fire Safety Program.
The final result will be announced after seven marching skills are completed, Yii said, commending the finalists and expressing hope that the program would benefit the participants and encourage them to actively serve their community.
