KUCHING: Several divisions in Sarawak are forecast to experience continuous rain until Tuesday (Mar 7).
The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) yesterday issued a continuous rain alert warning pointing out that the divisions involved are Kuching, Serian, Samarahan, Sri Aman, Betong, and Sarikei.
In addition, the divisions of Sibu (Sibu and Kanowit), and Mukah (Tanjung Manis, Daro, and Matu) will also be affected.
Meanwhile, a warning of continuous heavy rain (alert) is issued when heavy rain is expected to occur within one to three days or the ongoing rain/thunderstorm is expected to continue.
Public members are also urged to monitor the weather condition through the department’s official website at https://www.met.gov.my/en/, the myCuaca mobile application or the department’s official social media pages.
