MIRI: A total 17 needy people from Kuching (13) and Miri (4) received financial assistance of Dana Sokongan Keluarga (BSK) from the Sarawak Syariah Judiciary Department yesterday.
Meanwhile, five other recipients received the asnaf contributions during a simple handing over ceremony held at a leading hotel here.
All contributions were presented by Sarawak Syariah Court Chief Judge Datuk Awang Suhaili Ledi.
Also present were Miri Malay community leader Datuk Abdul Rahman Abang Fadzail and Deputy Miri Division Resident Juan Ubit.
