MIRI: A 53-year-old man had an early morning surprise when he found a nine-foot-long reticulated python in his chicken coop at Kampung Lopeng Tengah here today.
A spokesman for the Civil Defence Force (APM) said they received a distress call around 7.40 am and a four-member team was deployed to the scene.
The man wanted to clean the coop and noticed the python in the cage and wasted no time in alerting APM.
The reptile, the size of an adult’s calf, was captured and later released to its original habitat away from the village.
