KUCHING: Democratic Action Party (DAP) Sarawak will continue its role as an effective opposition political party in the state, said its chairman Chong Chieng Jen.
“DAP is part of the Unity government with GPS in the Federal level but we will continue to remain as the opposition party at the state level,” he said at the Dapsy fund raising dinner here on Sunday night.
“As an opposition in Sarawak is not easy but we will continue to voice out on policies affecting the people.
“We will also continue to be the voice for the youth of today and in the future,” Chong added.
He assured that DAP would continue to provide the best service to Sarawakians.
About 1,000 people attended the fund-raising dinner which successfully raised RM10,428 towards the party’s fund.
