BINTULU: Pertubuhan Sukarelawan Kebajikan Bintulu (PSKB) in collaboration with Bajik Salon and Sarawak Orphans Welfare Organisation (PERYATIM) Bintulu will be organising a free Haircutting Programme and Breaking of Fast Ceremony with PERYATIM on April 16.
Jepak assemblyman Datuk Talib Zulpilip and wife Datuk Dr Zaliha Christine Abdullah are expected to attend the programme themed ‘Fahami Erti Kasih Sayang’ scheduled to take place at PERYATIM Complex Kampung Jepak starting from 5 pm.
PSKB chairman Kederi Yusof said that this charitable activity of haircutting is specifically for male orphaned children at the PERYATIM Complex Bintulu, which is managed by the organisation’s members themselves.
In addition to bringing joy to the orphans, this free service indirectly helps to reduce the burden of preparing Aidilfitri for the orphaned children’s families and at the same time fosters love and happiness for the relevant group, he added.
