KUCHING: Several upgrades will be made to secondary schools in Bau to provide more convenience for its pupils.
Tasik Biru assemblyman Datuk Henry Harry Jinep said he will provide funds to improve the sports facilities and other facilities of SMK Bau, SMK Lake and SMK Singai.
“RM2 million will be allocated for SMK Bau while RM1 million will be allocated each to SMK Lake and SMK Singai for the upgrading works,” he said after attending a meeting with the principals and staff of the three schools yesterday (Apr 19).
The funds that will be allocated for the proposed project will be from the Greater Kuching Coordinated Development Authority (GKCDA) and all the projects will be implemented through the Public Works Department (PWD).
“It is hoped that once completed, it will benefit not only the schools but the students as well,” he said.
