SERIAN: The Sarawak government has allocated a fund of RM100 million to supply clean water for the Serian area.
Deputy Minister for Tourism, Creative Industry and Performing Arts II Datuk Snowdan Lawan said that the residents of Kampung Sega Baru in particular will be able to enjoy clean water supply after the implementation of the second phase of the water supply project which is expected to start next year.
He said this while speaking at the ‘Leader with the People programme’ and launching ceremony of Kampung Sega Baru multipurpose hall here, recently.
In the meantime, Snowdan who is also the Balai Ringin assemblyman, announced an allocation of RM34,000 to the Village Security and Development Committee (JKKK) and the Kampung Sega Women’s Bureau.
Also present were Penghulu Pelie, Parti Rakyat Sarawak (PRS) Balai Ringin branch women chief Helen Jambai and Councillor Britin.
