KUCHING: A single-storey wooden house in Jalan Anggerik Tapang, Kota Sentosa was razed to the ground in a fire on Friday night.
A spokesperson for the Fire and Rescue Department operations centre received a distress call at 10.57 pm.
Firemen from Batu Lintang and Tabuan Jaya fire station were promptly despatched to the scene.
“Upon arriving, the fire has completely destroyed the vacant single-storey wooden house.
“Firemen at the scene conducted an offensive attack on the fire using three lines of hoses and using the water from a nearby fire hydrant,” the department said in a statement.
There were no casualties reported.
The firemen ended the operation at around 12.12 am after ensuring the area was safe.
