Ministers wind up debates on ministries

The ministerial winding up speeches marked the conclusion of the sixth day of the State Legislative Assembly (DUN) sitting, which commenced at 9 am today. Four ministers took the floor to clarify points raised by assemblymen on their ministries during their debates.

They are Minister of Education, Innovation and Talent Development Datuk Roland Sagah Wee Inn, Minister of Utility and Telecommunication Datuk Julaihi Narawi followed by Minister in the Premier’s Department Datuk John Sikie Tayai and finally, Transport Minister Datuk Seri Lee Kim Shin.

Meanwhile, DUN Deputy Speaker Datuk Idris Buang, announced that leave of absence was granted to Balai Ringin assemblyman and Deputy Minister of Tourism, Creative Industry and Performing Arts Datuk Snowdan Lawan.

Deputy Minister of Natural Resources, Environment and Climate Change, and Repok assemblyman, Datuk Huang Tiong Sii, along with Padungan assemblyman, Chong Chieng Jen, were also granted leave. Additionally, Opar assemblyman, Billy Sujang, was granted leave starting yesterday until Wednesday (May 24).

The DUN sitting adjourned at 4.25 pm and resumes today for the seventh day of the session.
