KUCHING: Sarawak is among the top five contributors to Malaysia’s exports, according to the Statistics Department.
The leading exporter continues to be Penang, accounting for 31.5 percent of the total, followed by Johor at 21.7 percent, Selangor at 17.3 percent, Sarawak at 7.0 percent and Kedah at 4.6 percent.
In April 2023, Malaysia achieved a significant milestone in trade, with a total trade value of RM198.0 billion.
The value of exports amounted to RM105.4 billion, while imports were valued at RM92.6 billion.
