KUCHING: A Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) backbencher yesterday stressed GPS will continue to lead Sarawak in the future.
According to Tellian Assemblyman Yussibnosh Balo, GPS did not renege on its promises and will continue to lead the state.
He said the current ruling federal government had failed to keep their promises and had given various excuses by saying that their manifesto was not a bible.
“Sarawakians will not be taken by any empty promises like what happened at the federal level,” he said when debating the State Supply Bill (2019) at the State Assembly (DUN) sitting yesterday.
Yussibnosh said in the GE14, the ruling government in the state had won 19 out of the 31 parliamentary seats contested.
“We did not lose at the state-level, and be assured that Sarawakians are still matured in electing their representatives,” he stressed.
