SIBU: Junior Chamber International (JCI) Mandarin Sibu received a total of eight prestigious awards at the JCI Malaysia Area Sarawak Convention held here from May 26 to 28.

Among the awards, its president Boston Ho stood out by winning three individual accolades: Most Participative President, Top Recruiter, and Inspiring President. Ho also shared the team award for English debate champion with Sylvester Lim and Alexander Ling.

The other awards won included Most Supportive Local Organization, Malay Public Speaking Champion (awarded to Ling Guong Zhin), Mandarin Oregon Debate First Runner-up (awarded to Alex Kong, Ling Chung Dee, and Simon Tiong), and Parliamentary Quiz First Runner-up (awarded to Alexander Ling).

“We are truly honoured to be recognised for our commitment to the JCI movement. These accolades serve as both inspiration and a reminder that we can achieve even greater heights through our continued efforts,” said Ho.

JCI is a global organisation that focuses on leadership development for young active citizens aged 18 to 40. Its vision is to provide opportunities for young people to develop their leadership skills and create positive change.
