KUCHING: Anime-themed events have become a source of inspiration and a way to bring people together, regardless of their age.
Mayor of Kuching South City Council (MBKS), Datuk Wee Hong Seng, said that the anime events have the ability to go beyond cultures and generations, bringing people together and encouraging them to share their thoughts and ideas.
Wee said this when officiating at the Torabera Animation, Comics, and Games (ACG) at The Spring Shopping Mall in Kuching today (June 10).
The event, which runs from June 9 untill tomorrow (June 11), offers a variety of activities for participants to enjoy.
Attendees will have the chance to meet famous cosplay players, take part in cosplay dance competitions, play card games, race Hot Wheels, experience virtual reality games, and enjoy music performances and other exciting activities.
The main stage will host three competitions: the cosplay skit competition, the cosplay pose-off competition, and the cosplay dancing competition.
These contests provide cosplayers with an opportunity to showcase their skills and creativity.
For more information about the event, you can visit their Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/toraberafest. Admission is free.
