GEDONG: Viviene Voon was crowned as the Kumang Gawai 2023 in a beauty pageant held during the Gedong District Gawai Day 2023 celebration.
The event took place on Saturday evening (June 18).
Voon received a cash prize of RM1,500, along with a trophy and a certificate for her achievement.
Merryssa Nightangle Guang secured the second place position and was awarded RM1,300 in cash, a trophy, and a certificate.
Carissma Anti Jawing claimed the third place and received a cash prize of RM1,000, a trophy, and a certificate.
The other participants who took part in the pageant and did not place in the top three were given consolation prizes of RM300 each.
Batang Sadong MP Rodiyah Sapiee was present at the RTC Munggu Lalang Hall to present the winning prizes. Earlier, Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg officiated the Gedong District Gawai Day 2023 celebration.
