More than 200 participants in Mukah will participate in the 2023 Teacher's Day run.

MUKAH: More than 200 participants here are expected to participate in the Virtual Run in conjunction with the Teacher’s Day 2023 celebration.

The organising of the 2, 3, 5 and 10 kilometre (km) Virtual Run programme in conjunction with the Teacher’s Day 2023 celebration on May 16, 2023 will be extended and the running activities to be carried out until June 30, 2023.

While registration is also extended from April 15 to June 15, 2023, the run starts on May 16 to June 30, 2023. The date of sending the Running Kit is July 7, while the officiating of the closing ceremony and lucky draw will also be held simultaneously on July 13, 2023.

This is the third year it is being organised to promote a healthy and active lifestyle in developing the concept of Masyarakat Malaysia Madani.

According to sources from the Education Ministry, this programme is open to students in year 4 and above, secondary students, all educators and Malaysian citizens aged 18 and above.

For participants who are 18 years old and below, they must obtain permission and always be under the supervision of their parents when registering and also when performing running activities.

By registering through the portal provided, the organisers assume that permission has been given by a parent or guardian to participate in this programme.

Registration starts on April 15, 2023 and will end on June 30, 2023 and can be done online through the heckpointspot.asia website. It is free for all students and RM20.00 for educators, parents and the general public.

Participants can also contact the secretariat if they need help with registration.

Among the categories offered are 2km for Special Education Students, 3km for primary school students, 5km for secondary school students and 10km for participation from educators, parents and the general public.

Each participant must ensure that their health is always at a good level and is suitable to register in this programme and carry out the activities allocated.

The organiser will not be responsible for any injury or any accident and loss while participating in this programme.

Each participant will receive a registration confirmation slip via the email provided. If there is any discrepancy, please inform the secretariat within 24 hours from the date of sending the email. A service charge of RM10 will be charged after that period.

Running activities can start from May 16 until June 30, 2023.

The participation certificate will display the total running distance and also the time taken according to the registered category.

Participants can choose to run physically or do it on the ‘Treadmill’ in the gymnasium and also in their respective homes.

Running activities can be carried out all at once or periodically according to the time and ability of the participants.

All designs, and colours of the gifts offered are for illustration purposes only and may change according to the actual condition of the gift.

The online lucky draw session is planned for July 13, 2023. However, the organiser reserves the right to amend the date according to the circumstances and time of the programme.

The results of the lucky draw are final while the lucky draw prize will be handed over to the participants within 90 days from the date of the draw.

The organisers will work with the Ministry of Education to obtain PAJSK recognition after the participation period and reserves the right at their discretion to modify and replace these terms and conditions at any time without any requirement or obligation of notice to participants.
