KUCHING: Sections of the Batang Kayan bridge and road in Lundu will be accessible to road users starting Tuesday (June 20) at 10am.
According to a statement from the Public Works Department (JKR), the newly completed side of the bridge will provide two routes. The first route is from the P-turn at Sampadi, leading towards Lundu/Sematan, while the second route leads to Bau.
In light of the opening, JKR has advised all road users to exercise caution while driving on the mentioned routes during the initial period. They should also adhere to all traffic management measures and plan their journeys accordingly.
JKR further stated that any changes regarding the date or areas involved in the opening will be communicated by the contractor.
