KUCHING: The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) has issued an update on the hot weather conditions, indicating that two regions are currently on Level 1 alert as of 4:40 pm yesterday (Jun 24).
In West Malaysia, the areas of Jempol and Rompin in Pahang are affected, while in Sarawak, Betong has been identified as a hotspot.
Level 1 alert indicates that the daily maximum temperature ranges between 35 to 37 degrees Celsius, persisting for a minimum of three consecutive days. It is a signal for heightened caution and preparedness.
