PUTRAJAYA: Malaysia’s transition into the endemic phase of Covid-19 hinges upon the Health Ministry (MOH) presenting its comprehensive report containing fresh recommendations and updated standard operating procedures (SOPs) to the Cabinet next week.
Health Minister Dr. Zaliha Mustafa emphasised that the review process considers the guidance provided by the World Health Organization (WHO), the global COVID-19 situation, and the local infection landscape.
As of now, Malaysia remains in the transitional phase toward endemicity, which has been in effect since April 1, 2022. The forthcoming proposals and revised SOPs are expected to play a crucial role in shaping the country’s future approach to managing the pandemic.
