KUCHING: Isuzu D-Max now features reverse cameras on all of its double cab models.

With the inclusion of this feature, driving the pick-up truck will be safer and convenient as parking will no longer pose a challenge, particularly when carrying bulky loads.

According to Isuzu Malaysia’s Chief Operating Officer, Kenkichi Sogo, while the range-topping X-Terrain and high-specification Premium variants have enjoyed this feature since their introduction, the base Standard 1.9-litre versions now receive this feature to meet requests from traders.

“With the immense capability of our pick-up trucks, the Isuzu D-Max continues to appeal to those who depend on them heavily on a daily basis.

“By providing these users with a factory-fitted solution for their parking needs, not only do we help protect their investments, it also ensures that their vehicles continue to remain mobile reliably and safely,” he said.

On top of that, he added that Isuzu is now the first manufacturer in Malaysia to provide reverse cameras across its entire double cab pick-up truck range.

“The reverse camera sits neatly in a receptacle next to the tailgate handle and sends crystal-clear images to a new 7-inch touch screen infotainment head unit fitted in the 1.9-litre Standard model.

“The unit also enjoys Bluetooth connectivity, offering music playback when paired with modern smartphones.

“Catering to the needs of personal communication devices, the 1.9-litre Standard models will now come with two built-in USB ports up front – a Type A and one Type C – offering more charging options to occupants.”

“The enhanced Isuzu D-Max 1.9-litre Standard model is available with either a 6-speed manual or automatic gearbox and comes with a marginal price increase of RM1,500 over the outgoing variant.

“Prices start from RM107,520.30 on the road without insurance in Sarawak,” he said.
