KUCHING: A 50-year old man lost RM11,530.00 to a scam after purchasing for three tickets to the Taylor Swift concert on the Carousell website on July 6.
Sarawak Police Commissioner Datuk Mohd Azman Ahmad Sapri said the victim, who works as an engineer, had gone to a bank here to make three transactions to the bank account provided by the suspect.
“While at home, the victim saw an advertisement selling Taylor Swift tickets on Carousell.
“The victim then made a transaction from July 6 to July 7. He realised he had been cheated when the suspect could not be contacted after payments were made and lodged a police report,” he said in a statement yesterday (July 9).
