MIRI: The flood has affected a 103-door longhouse, a health clinic, and a primary school in Long Bemang village.

According to a report from the volunteers of the village fire brigade, around 530 residents who live in the longhouse have been affected by the flood.

The flooding started last Sunday at around 8 pm due to heavy rainfall.

Fortunately, the situation is currently under control, and no evacuation has been necessary so far.

As of Tuesday, the water level in the area is approximately 1.1 feet high and rising.

To ensure safety, Sarawak Energy Berhad (SEB) has shut off the electricity supply to the sub-station that serves the area since Monday morning.
