KUCHING: Fire razed a premises located next to Langkau Arau Rumah Asap Dayak Jalan Stutong here, which served as a store for used vehicles.
The Fire and Rescue Department received a distress call on the incident at 1.34am yesterday (July 11) and promptly dispatched a team from Tabuan Jaya and Padungan stations to the scene.
A spokesperson informed that the fire had not only engulfed the premises which also served as a dormitory for the Rumah Asap’s employees, but also burned down a few used vehicles at the premises.
The blaze was successfully brought under control before it could spread to nearby properties.
