Local powerboat teams dominate two-day meet

KAPIT : Local powerboat teams, Murpink 45 , PESAKA 69, BGRT and  PRS 26 dominated a two-day meet here by winning the 30hp 3 piston tunnel boat and below, 30hp 2 piston tunnel boat and 18 hp tunnel boat categories respectively.

A team from Brunei Darulsalam won the 50hp tunnel boat category while a local team MAJENIZ S77 won the pump engine 8hp category.

In the 50hp tunnel boat open , King Cobra (Brunei) lifted Tan Sri Datuk Amar Dr. James Jemut Masing Challenge Trophy., with Green Hornet 36 in second place and ORION 13 in third.

Murpink was the undisputed champion in the 30hp 3 piston tunnel boat category with ORION SONG 28 in second place and PEGASUS 23 in third.

The team (Murpink) also walked away with Datuk Alexander Nanta Linggi Challenge Trophy.

PESAKA 69 the 30hp tunnel boat (2 piston) category to  bag Datuk Sri Temenggong Jinggut Atan Chellenge Trophy.

BGRT PRS 26 lifted Datuk Wilson Ugak Kumbong Challenge Trophy when it took the first place in the 18hp tunnel boat category.

The 8hp pump engine (locally known as ‘stinting’) was won by MAJENIZS77 with MAJENIS R33 in second place and MAJENIZ 84 in third.
