KUCHING: With more than 5,000 years of history, the Chinese traditional medical practice, and now combined with science technology, has come into the community to benefit the people with better treatment.
This was said by the Federation of Sarawak Traditional Physicians and Complementary Medicine board advisor Then Shui Ted at the opening of the Second International Traditional Natural Medical Physician conference at Borneo Convention Centre Kuching (BCCK) here recently.
The two-day event involved selling of various medical products, free medical consultation as well as sharing of best medical practices and scientific research by the speakers. The programme was organised by Federation of Chinese Medicine and Physicians Sarawak and Federation of Sarawak Traditional Physicians and Complementary Medicine.
Organising chairman Professor Datuk Seri Dr Tan Kit Weng, who is also advisor to the American Academy of Naturopathic Medicine and president of Federation of Chinese Medicine and Physicians Sarawak and Federation of Sarawak Traditional Physicians and Complementary Medicine, contributed RM600,000 to the event to provide free medicine to the public.
