BINTULU: The ‘Niti Daun’ competition is scheduled to take place on August 6 as part of the Tatau Festival 2023, which runs from July 29 to August 13.
District Officer Jabang Juntan said that the Tatau Village Development and Security Committee (JKKK), along with associations and government agencies, have been invited to participate in the competition.
He said this after chairing a coordination meeting for the ‘Niti Daun Pesta Tatau 2023’ recently.
He added that participants will walk approximately two kilometres from Pasar Baru Tatau to the main stage at Sungai Jatan Community Park.
The winner will receive RM3,000, followed by RM2,000 and RM1,000 for second and third place, respectively.
Jabang also shared that the theme of the ‘Niti Daun’ competition is the traditional clothing of each ethnic group.
