MIRI: A six-hour heavy downpour here on Tuesday had caused several areas to be flooded.
Three areas, namely, Krokop, Piasau and the Saberkas roundabout were flooded up to the knee.
However, the floods gradually subsided yesterday morning after the rain stopped around midnight.
Paul Dinggai, one of the road users met nearby the Saberkas roundabout said, “It seems that the heavy storm has caused roads to be flooded, shutting down the access routes.”
The area was flooded due to persistent rainfall, making it almost impassable.
