KUCHING: The music communities of Kuching and Pontianak are gearing up for an exciting event called CONNECTED, organised by RECHAUS at their establishment from Aug 2 to 5.

RECHAUS founder and director Andro Keebox announced in a press release that CONNECTED is a collaborative platform aimed at fostering connections and collaborations among musicians, industry professionals, and music enthusiasts.

This event provides a unique opportunity for participants to exchange knowledge, share experiences, and promote original music.

“CONNECTED will bring together musicians, industry professionals, and music enthusiasts from both Kuching and Pontianak.

“Our clear goal is to create lasting connections and provide a platform for collaboration, skill development, and cultural exchange among the music communities.”

The event will feature a dynamic line-up of activities, including live performance sharing sessions, audio engineering sessions, music production sessions, and a performance showcase event.

The highlight of CONNECTED will be the performance showcase event on Aug 5, where two Indonesian bands, two local solo artists, and two local bands from Sarawak will perform.

“We aim to attract musicians, industry professionals, and music enthusiasts from the local community, promoting original music and embracing new technologies.”

HAUS KCH co-founder and managing director Syed Rusydie shared his thoughts on the event, expressing the hope to see more international-level collaborations and performances in Sarawak.

“As a space provider, we’re doing our part to ease such initiatives, of which we hope to see more from our fellow Borneans and beyond.”
