KUALA TERENGGANU: A total of 4,195 recipients benefitted from the implementation of the MyLesen B2 programme nationwide from May to Aug 4, said Deputy Transport Minister Datuk Hasbi Habibollah.

He said the recipients were from nine states, namely Kedah, Penang, Selangor, Negeri Sembilan, Kelantan, Terengganu, Pahang, Perlis and Sabah.

According to Hasbi, for this year, a total of 9,000 people, comprising those from the B40 group, persons with disabilities, asnaf (tithe recipient) zakat, Rahmah Cash Aid (STR) and e-kasih recipients, are targeted to benefit from the programme.

“We have quotas based on certain criteria for each state. For example, in Kedah, Penang and Kelantan, we have quotas for 900 people each, and in Pahang and Kuala Lumpur for 500 people each.

“For the remaining recipients in Perak, Sarawak, Melaka and Johor, we will roll out the programme by the end of the year,” he told a press conference after the launch of the state-level MyLesen B2 programme here today.
