KUCHING: Excitement is building among Sarawakians for the upcoming Borneo Sonic Music Festival (BSMF), one of the state’s largest music events, as organisers drop hints about the international acts set to grace the stage.

A video posted on the official BSMF Instagram page revealed that artists from Australia, Taiwan, South Korea, and the United States are lined up to perform.

The video caption, “Four K-Pop sensations, Four local favourites,” ignited anticipation. However, the complete line-up of confirmed artists is yet to be disclosed.

Earlier announcements indicated that the BSMF is scheduled to take place on Oct 6 and 7 at Stadium Sarawak here.

Responding to public enquiries, the organisers stated that a press conference announcing further details would be held within one to two weeks.

They also cautioned potential ticket buyers to remain vigilant against scams and emphasised that their official website, www.borneosonic.com, is the sole reliable source for information.

Social media users in the comment sections speculated about possible artists, with mentions of South Korean Taeyang from the band Big Bang, South Korean rapper and singer CL, and Hong Kong rapper Jackson Wang.
