SIBU: Community leaders and secretaries can now enhance their meeting management skills with the Empowerment Course Meeting Minutes.
The course, conducted through lectures, practical exercises, and group discussions, aims to equip participants with the knowledge and skills needed to prepare effective meeting minutes and notices.
Kelvin Lau Kor Jie, a councillor from the Sibu Rural District Council, said the importance of this course in providing exposure to the community about writing quality meeting minutes. The course also covers procedures and guidelines related to the management of JKKK meeting minutes.
“I hope that courses like this can help disseminate knowledge and information about KMKK and JKKK to the entire community, especially the residents,” Lau said during the closing speech of the one-day course at the Islamic Complex Hall yesterday (August 8).
A total of 121 participants, including community leaders, longhouse chiefs, and Village Development and Security Committee (JKKK) secretaries from the Bawang Assan area, attended the course.
It was organised by the Sibu District Office, the Sibu Service Center, and the Administrative Unit of the Sarawak Premier’s Department.
Also present were Sibu District Officer Khalid Andong and Penghulu Dennis Ansam.
