MIRI: A team of firefighters from Lutong Fire Station was dispatched to the Pulau Melayu golf course on Sunday night to extinguish bushfire.
According to Miri Fire and Rescue Department spokeperson Awangku Mohd Hazmin Awang Zainal, in response to a distress call regarding the incident at 9.20 pm, a team of firefighters from Lutong Fire Station was immediately dispatched to the scene of the fire.
The bushfire affected nearly two acres of land in the area.
The firefighters successfully brought the fire under control at 10.48 pm.
