KUCHING: An elderly motorcyclist was injured following a two-vehicle collision along Jalan Tun Abdul Rahman Yaakub in Petra Jaya today morning (Aug 21).
The accident involving a car and a motorcycle is believed to have occurred around 10.20 am.
Kuching police chief ACP Ahsmon Bajah, when contacted, confirmed that they have received a report pertaining to the accident around 12.15 pm.
“The rider, a 68-year-old man, sustained head injuries and was taken to Sarawak General Hospital (SGH) for further treatment.
“Meanwhile, the driver, a 26-year-old woman, was unharmed in the accident,” he said.
Ahsmon said that the case is being investigated under Section 43 (1) of the Road Transport Act 1987 for negligent driving.
