KUCHING: The Ex-Highians’ Association Kuching has scheduled an annual dinner for Oct 1 at the Li Garden Restaurant here.
Its chairperson Steven Lau said the previous annual dinner took place three years ago. Covid-19 put paid to association’s yearly dinner after that.
“This annual dinner is a great opportunity for all former principals, teachers, and students to reunite under one roof and recall fond memories of the past school days.
“It also serves as a networking prospect for the alumni of different years to get to know one another. The association has always been a connecting bridge among the alumni,” he said in a statement today.
Tickets to the dinner are available at RM1,000 per table, and the last date for ticket sales is Sept 3.
Lau urged the school alumni to participate and make the event a success; around 40 retired principals and teachers have already confirmed their participation.
“This is absolutely a good opportunity for us to catch up with our former schoolmates. Besides reuniting all alumni, the organising committee has prepared numerous lucky draw gifts,” he added.
