KOTA SAMARAHAN: The Rural Roads Network (JPD) and Agricultural Road (JPL) projects in Samarahan are expected to be completed by Nov 21 next year.

Datuk Rubiah Wang highlighted that the endeavour encompasses the upgrading of JPD in Kampung Naie Lama and Kampung Sungai Mata, with a combined budget of RM923,190.

Simultaneously, the construction of the new JPL in Kampung Niup and Kampung Mang Baru comes at a cost of RM839,630.

“The total budget allocated for both projects amounts to RM1,762,820,” said the Rural and Regional Development (KKWD) Deputy Minister.

“I’m confident that these initiatives will breathe new life into agricultural endeavors while streamlining the transportation of produce by the local residents,” she commented during her site visit on Monday (Aug 28).

Rubiah, who is also the Kota Samarahan MP, stressed that these projects are funded by KKWD as part of the 11th Malaysia Plan (11MP).

She expressed optimism that all stakeholders involved will adhere to the stipulated timeline, thereby enabling the local populace to reap the benefits of enhanced agricultural activities and improved transportation for their goods.
