SIBU: To celebrate the upcoming Malaysia Day, Pustaka Negeri Sarawak (PNS) Sibu is hosting a Sarawakiana Exhibition at its library in Jalan Tun Tuanku Bujang, Sungai Merah here.
In a statement, the exhibition starts on September 11 and runs until October 11. It’s open from 10 am to 5 pm daily.
Visitors can explore three main sections: Zendala Art, featuring work by renowned local artist Aaron Chew We-Li. Digital Poetry, showcasing pieces from local poets. Malaysia’s Formation Revolution, a section focusing on our country’s history.
The library invites all Malaysians to this event, encouraging everyone to learn more about Malaysia’s rich culture and history.
Additionally, on September 15 at 10 am, PNS Sibu is hosting a talk titled “Tourism Through Culture”. Nurina Pillin Sibat, a lecturer at Sarikei Community College’s Sibu Branch, will be the speaker.
The session will discuss the integration of tourism and culture, especially in the context of Malaysia Day.
Entry is free, and attendees can register by scanning a QR code found on event posters.
