BINTULU: The Health Ministry has approved RM300,000 to improve Bintulu Hospital’s healthcare facilities.

Its Minister Dr. Zaliha Mustafa said the move ensures top-notch healthcare for local residents.

She highlighted the hospital’s potential need for further upgrades, but such plans need federal clearance.

Dr Zaliha said, “Bintulu MP Datuk Seri Tiong King Sing and I plan to discuss this with the Cabinet. We’re considering its inclusion in the 13th Malaysia Plan or maybe the fourth or fifth rolling plan.”

“Some improvements can begin immediately, while others require more thought. Included in our immediate plans are facility development projects,” she said to the media after visiting the Bintulu Division Health Office today (Sept 15).

She also noted that her Bintulu visit came at the request of Tiong. The focus of her visit was to inspect and identify areas of healthcare that might need upgrades.

During the visit, she also assessed the RPR Kidurong Maternal and Child Health Clinic.
