SIBU: A total of 16 E-hailing service operators from Maxim Sibu brought happiness to 50 children at the Juma’ani Tuanku Haji Bujang Welfare Complex (KKJTHB) in Sibu, formerly known as Peryatim Sibu.

Head of Maxim E-Hailing Sibu Morisson Empari said the programme yesterday (Sept 16) was organised in conjunction with Malaysia Day.

“Our programme is actually in conjunction with Malaysia Day. The donation consists of packs of rice, cooking oil, and more,” he said when interviewed by reporters at Peryatim Sibu yesterday.

Morisson noted that the donation amounted to RM1,000.

“The objective of the programme is to improve the quality of life for children in need, especially the children in Peryatim here.

“Our hope is that our small contribution will help the children here, and in the near future, we will organise such a programme again,” he said.

Also present was Peryatim Manager Najilanisa Suhaili and others.
