KUCHING: The Sri Aman Development Agency (SADA) has plans to boost the tourism industry in Sri Aman.

SADA chairwoman Datuk Seri Rohani Abdul Karim said that it has set aside funds for new projects in Lingga.

“One of the sites that will get a makeover is Gunung Lesung. We’ll use a community-focused approach for tourism there,” she said at a meeting with local leaders and village heads from the Lingga district recently.

She further urged these leaders to share their ideas for the development of their areas. This would help SADA move forward with their plans faster and allocate resources accordingly.

Additionally, Rohani announced that SADA intends to set up a centre for Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) which will benefit youth.
