BINTULU: Sixteen people were made homeless after fire razed down six houses in Kampung Setinggan Musako, Sungai Plan, Tanjung Kidurong here early yesterday.
According to Bintulu Senior operation commander, assistant fire superintendent (PPgB), Mohd Ishak, the incident occurred at around 2.00am.
He said a prime water tanker and four personnel were dispatched to the scene after they received a distress call from the public.
He said no injury or casualty was reported and the fire was completely doused by the firefighters at 3.30am.
“Six houses including a double-storey house were destroyed by the fire. Currently, the victims are putting up with their relatives,” said Mohd Ishak, adding that the cause of the fire is still under investigation.
