KUCHING: Wan Alwi Mosque in Tabuan Jaya has received a donation of RM123,600 for the construction of its new toilet facilities.

Bandar Kuching MP Dr Kelvin Yii said his parliamentary constituency office agreed to allocate the funding for the construction cost in response to the mosque’s request to build a new toilet for its female congregants,

“Currently, the mosque’s toilet is situated outside the mosque premises, posing challenges for female congregants, particularly at night due to safety concerns,” he said in a statement.

Thus, he hoped the new toilet could provide more comfort to those visiting the mosque.
